A Bit About Me

My name is Anna, and I’m 20 years old. I was born in Ukraine, where I spent half my childhood, then lived in South Korea for two years before moving to the Netherlands, where I’ve been for the past seven years.

Movies have always been a big part of my life—they helped me understand both the world around me and my inner self. When I was 10, my mom signed me up for a theater group, and it became a turning point. Theater helped me accept myself and taught me to be more open. Since then, I’ve always tried to keep it in my life.

As I grew, so did my list of interests—sports, music, drawing, photography, psychology—but theater remained at the core. Over time, my passion for photography and psychology naturally led me to filmmaking.

Now, after experiencing different cultures, situations, and emotional journeys, I feel a strong need to express those experiences through film. Social topics are especially important to me. Recent events in Ukraine have exposed many flaws in humanity and society, and I want to address them through storytelling. For me, filmmaking is more than an art form—it’s a way to spark conversation, bring awareness, and connect with people on a deeper level.
